A five star resort hidden in a Chinese village - Amanfayun
Sometimes hotels pop up in a location and it's the building that dominates that area. Very rarely do they fit into the landscape, and incorporate the local culture into their style, but today I feature a place I believe does just that. Located twenty minutes drive from Hangzhou (one of the most charming cities in China) there is a property discreetly located in the middle of tea plantations, and surrounded by some of the most famous temples of the city. There are 42 rooms, suites and villas and no two rooms are identical. The style of the rooms is just what you'd expect from such a resort - minimalist, yet beautifully stylish.
