The long and winding road: Travel Lightbulb changes

When I started my blogging journey, I didn't know where it would take me. It's an experience I'm thoroughly enjoying, and the feedback I've had from everyone who has taken time to visit Travel Lightbulb is fantastic. My other day job is taking up more and more of my time, and while I don't want to stop writing my blog, I also don't want the quality of places, and writing to diminish. so I've taken the decision to post once a week.


The posts will go live every Friday, and I'll be chopping and changing between my top travel tips on restaurants, bars and hotels; my travel ramblings, and the Travel Photo Friday feature that so many of you seem to enjoy. So don't fear, you can still contribute your photos to the blog, and I'll still be featuring the cool places that I'd recommend you take a look at on your travels.     Great road picture - where is it? Shame about going to one day a week;

If you like chicken, and haven't yet tried Piri Piri, I have to break it to you.....you're missing out big time! The dish is traditionally made from Piri Piri peppers which originated in South Africa, and were imported to Portugal from Angola and Mozambique. Life is not a dress rehearsal

Ever since I was a little girl, my dad told me "Life is not a dress rehearsal". While it was a phrase that stuck in my mind, it didn't resonate with me until I got a bit older, and realised that he was totally right! We spend so much of our lives at work; in meetings, and sometimes doing things we don't always enjoy. So when we have time off and go on holiday, we have to make the most of it. Take time to look up at that blue sky, breathe in that fresh air to give us new energy for when we have to return to reality! I may have found the perfect spot to stay in Marrakech.
